Designed for thrill-seekers and nature lovers, this tour takes you off the beaten path to experience Jordan’s stunning landscapes up close. Hike, explore, and immerse yourself in Jordan’s wild beauty—from Petra’s hidden trails & exhilarating 4x4 rides in Wadi Rum, to treking in Wadi Araba.

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Welcome to Jordan! Upon your arrival in Amman, you’ll be greeted and taken to the remarkable Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Once you check into your hotel, you can unwind for the rest of the day. Take a dip in the salty waters or indulge in a mud treatment using the natural dark mud from the shores. Since the era of Herod the Great, visitors have come here hoping to discover its healing properties. With its high annual temperatures, low humidity, and elevated atmospheric pressure, the environment is uniquely invigorating. The air is rich in oxygen, and the Dead Sea’s mineral-laden waters boast anti-inflammatory benefits. For over 2,000 years, the mud found along these shores has been utilized for therapeutic purposes. Overnight stay at the Dead Sea hotel.

Day 2:

After breakfast, set off on a scenic journey toward Petra. Your first stop is Mt Nebo, where you'll overlook the breathtaking Jordan Valley and parts of the Holy Land. According to biblical tradition, it's said that this is where Moses gazed upon the Promised Land before passing away, and it is believed to be his burial site. Next, you'll travel to Madaba to view the renowned 6th-century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land located at St. George's Church, as well as other beautiful mosaics in the Archaeological Park. Continue along the ancient caravan route of the King's Way, making a brief stop in Wadi Al Mujib to capture stunning photographs of its impressive geological formations. Afterward, explore the remains of the Crusader fortress, Kerak. Discover its underground passageways, take in the views, and envision the sieges laid by Salah ad-Din against this stronghold throughout history. Overnight stay in Dana.

Day 3:

After breakfast, meet your local guide and embark on an exploration of the second-largest nature reserve in Jordan, starting from Dana Village. Wander through terraced gardens and over dramatic mountains, enjoying the sweeping valleys and vibrant colors of Wadi Dana. As you hike, your guide will share insights about local village life, as well as the reserve's diverse flora and fauna. Once you return to the village, it’s time to visit Little Petra, believed to have been a caravan stop-over on the route to Petra. Enter through a narrow gorge known as Siq Al Barid, where you’ll encounter intriguing temples, tombs, and ancient water channels carved from sandstone. One cave even reveals remnants of a Nabatean fresco painting. This site once hosted numerous religious activities, including the Feast of Drink, where the Nabataean king celebrated by offering drinks to his guests. You’ll also find a cave adorned with frescoes depicting grape vines, indicating that this area was pivotal in local wine production. The Nabataean irrigation system, featuring channels and reservoirs carved into the rock, serves as a testament to their engineering prowess. Finally, continue onward to your hotel in Petra. Overnight stay in Petra.

Day 4:

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an adventurous trek to El Deir via the back route. Today is all about exploring on foot! Petra is home to numerous trails that reveal the grandeur of this ancient city. Your journey begins at Little Petra, a historic caravan stop, where you'll discover charming sandstone façades smaller in scale than those found in Petra itself. As you make your way, you'll pass the remnants of the Neolithic village of Beidah and traverse open farmland before entering a rugged mountainous region. The trail eventually leads you to the breathtaking façade of El Deir, reaching an impressive height of 45 meters, skillfully carved into the sandstone. Take your time to explore this monument and soak in the stunning views overlooking Wadi Araba. A descent of 800 steps will take you to the lower sections of Petra, where you will continue along the main trail leading to the entrance. This moderate hike will take about four hours to complete, with one section that may present a challenge for those who aren';t fond of heights. You'll spend the night in Petra.

Day 5:

After breakfast, set off with your knowledgeable local guide for an exhilarating hike and scramble up the Al Madras path to reach the Treasury Viewpoint. Prepare to be spellbound as you take in the panoramic views below, and imagine what it must have been like to navigate these lands during the Crusader era. Returning to the main trail, you’ll traverse the stunning narrow canyon known as the Siq, with its vibrant sandstone displays. At the journey's end, you will be rewarded with a glimpse of the awe-inspiring Treasury, one of Petra's most iconic monuments.

Continue your exploration along the Street of Facades, leading you to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. This

afternoon, you'll have some free time to wander through Petra at your leisure. For those still eager for adventure,

consider climbing the stairs to the High Place of Sacrifice. Overnight in Petra.

Day 6:

After enjoying breakfast, set out for the stunning red dunes of Wadi Rum—a vast and tranquil expanse featuring ancient riverbeds and the most spectacular desert landscapes in Jordan. Arriving at your camp in the afternoon, take a moment to settle in before embarking on an included 4x4 ride through the area’s unique terrains and natural beauty. Ascend the dunes, marvel at remarkable rock formations, and visit ancient sites adorned with rock art. Once back at the camp, savor a traditional meal while learning more about the rich Bedouin culture. As night falls, embark on a leisurely walk to experience the pristine, star-filled skies of Wadi Rum. Overnight in Wadi Rum.
